Thank you for your patience!
FMS Go Bags are all about an intelligent, confident approach to emergency preparedness. The FMS in our name stands for Full Modular Systems. We chose modular because its keeps you and your gear customizable, organized and secure. It supports the competent fluidity that you need to adapt continuously to an emergent situation. We believe preparedness is about being Aware, Adaptable and Organized so we build all of our kits with those principles in mind.
We are a Veteran-owned, Wisconsin-based business and at our heart we aim to equip those who would run into an emergency to help others with everything they need to be their best when everything around them is at its worst.
We build our company on these pillars:
Intelligence - We work smarter, not harder to make sure you have what you really need in a way that makes sense. We don't want to give you stuff, we want to give you solutions.
Confidence - We don't buy into fear. Therefore, we don't sell through fear. If there's one thing we've learned in all of our experiences it is that regardless of what gear you tote, confidence in yourself, confidence in your gear and confidence in your ability to use it effectively is essential. That is what sets merely surviving apart from being an overcomer and a real hero. We don't aim for mere survival.
Organization - There's nothing we dislike more at FMS Go Bags than a cool backpack filled with useful, but disorganized stuff. If calm equals success in an emergency, why add unnecessary stress by searching frantically for what you need while valuable time passes by? We organize everything you need for a specific task or environment into one modular pouch that can be configured in or outside of your backpack to fit your custom preference. What you need, where you need it and it stays there.
Durability - There are a lot of go bags out there that are filled with a false sense of security. They have a lot in them, but much of it is cheap, poorly made, likely to break on the first use or can only be used once. What if your emergency lasts longer than that? Our mission is to give you durable tools designed to outlast your emergency. We personally field test everything to make sure it meets up to that standard. If it doesn't stand up, it doesn't get offered to our clients.
Reusability - Practice makes perfect, right? The same goes for emergency preparedness. In our industry the mantra is, "Drill, drill, drill, then rework it and drill it again." That means your gear needs to be reusable. There is no point in having a go bag if you don't know how to properly use the tools it carries. That means you need to practice with it often, which implies a need for equipment that can take as many runs as you can give it.
All of these pillars work together to give you customizable products and solutions that keep you lightweight, mobile and effective while empowering you to practice with them over and over until your are confident in your approach to emergency preparedness.
Hi, I'm Ryan. I design, test and assemble your FMS Go Bags and Modular kits.
Having grown up in the mountains, served in the US Army, worked for FEMA and Public Health Emergency Preparedness and studied Homeland Security and Emergency Management at the post-graduate level, I have experience in the concepts, principles and practices that sit at the heart of emergency preparedness and its practical application. I am also certified in Basic and Advanced Disaster Life Support, CPR, Crisis Risk Communications and Level II Hospital Emergency Coordination.
I have put years of hard work and analysis into designing these bags, testing the equipment, and finding what really works when you need it to and what doesn’t.
I want you to be confident in our approach to emergency preparedness and the solutions we offer so that you can be ready to help and ready to lead when it counts.
